One year has passed since our trip to Africa, during which we installed backup power sources from a generator and solar panels at Itibo Hospital (Kenya).
After a year, we received an email from the hospital management. At first it scared me - that something was probably not working. But the letter made us happy, and the thanks go to all of you. Writing to us is Pastor Nyabuto Mochoge, the Director of Health from the Nyamira CASD Association, who also runs Itibo Hospital:
Dear Mr. Bielik
“Please accept my warm greetings from Itibo Hospital. We hope you are healthy and we pray that you will do well and that our good Lord will continue to bless you, even in these difficult times COVID-19.
We have decided to write to you to inform you of the positive changes that have taken place since you donated an alternative power supply to our hospital:
- During the past year, state authorities certified our facility as a full-fledged hospital, which now bears the above name. This allows us to legally perform even complex medical procedures that fourth-level hospitals can do. Considering that there is no such facility within a fifteen kilometer radius, this is a significant milestone for us.
- A month ago, up until last week, there was an outage of electricity supply from the national grid due to technical reasons. However, we were able to provide services without interruption. Thanks to ADRA SLOVAKIA for the valuable donation at the right time - a generator and a solar system.
Let us kindly express our gratitude to you for being the person who brought us together as partners in this particular case, and also to Mudr. Ales and Mudr. Lukas from ADRA Czech Republic, who have been serving here for a long time and remain God's gift to us - for which we are always grateful to them.

Receive much greetings from the Itibo Hospital. We hope and pray that you are doing well and our good Lord continues to bless you all even during these difficult times of COVID19.
We chose to write to let you know of the positive changes that have occurred since you donated alternative power supply to our dispensary;
- During the course of last year, our national government upgraded the facility to a fully fledged hospital now bearing the name cited above. This allows us to legally provide complicated procedures appertaining to a level four hospital. Given that there is no such facility within a radius of fifteen kilometres, this is a milestone of a kind.
- For one month previous to one week ago, our electricity supply was disconnected due to technical issues. However, we were able to provide services flawlessly. Thanks to ADRA SLOVAKIA for their worthy and timely donation of a generator and solar system.
Let us kindly express our gratitude for being in this particular case the person who united us as partners, and also the Mudr. Aleš and Mudr. Lukáš from ADRA Czech, who have been serving here for a long time and remain God's gift to us - for which we are always grateful.
