The humanitarian project is supported by Japan Platform and will enable us to provide food, hygiene and warm clothing for more than 70,000 people in Ukraine. The first stop was therefore our new large-capacity warehouse, which we rented specifically for the purpose of our project. Our Japanese partners were also convinced of the need for humanitarian aid during a visit to our partner organization ADRA Ukraine and the distribution of aid on the ground.

 

 

We will also focus on the needs of expatriates in Slovakia. That's why we visited our Trenčín DobroCentrum, which has been providing them with material aid since March. We are pleased that thanks to the very good cooperation with the initiative Trenčín helps Ukraine we were able to join forces with other organisations and increase our scope of assistance.

 

We also visited the Cultural Information Centre (KIC), which helps the departees with integration, finding accommodation, and teaching Slovak. We talked with the Vice Mayor Patrik Žák and the coordinator of the deportees, Dana Váni, about the needs and possibilities of helping the departure community.

 

We also did not miss the opportunity to visit the Institute of Education of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic in Omshenie, where more than 80 deportees from Ukraine continue to reside. We have excellent cooperation with the Director of the Institute, Mrs. Janka Beďačová, and we ensure that our assistance responds to the acute needs of the deportees.
