At the beginning of August we successfully completed the summer ADRA volunteer camp in Pohorelska Masha. Thanks to your support, we were able to spend two weeks with a team of 16 volunteers working with clients, repainting roofs, painting rooms in one of the buildings and finishing the gazebo.
The ADRA BUS was also used to organize unforgettable trips for the clients of the facility to the beautiful nature around Telgárt.

The social services facility in a small central Slovak village is home to approximately 120 women and girls with varying degrees of physical and mental disabilities. At the turn of July and August, we organized a two-week volunteer camp to help both the clients and their caregivers after a difficult period of pandemic isolation.

Our volunteers were particularly dedicated to clients who are mobile and have a milder form of disability. Every day we spent time with them and prepared activities to develop their mental and practical skills. We even organised a small trip for them in the local area and a bus trip to Telgart!

Another volunteer team did small manual work in a social services facility. We cleaned and painted the roofs on the gym and storage rooms, resurfaced the gazebo, and painted the walls in the supportive housing house.
The biggest surprise? Even after more than a decade, both clients and staff fondly remember the ADRA camps of the past, even remembering the names of many of the volunteers who donated their time to them in the past.
