Ceremonial handover of the generator

With the support of the Government of the Slovak Republic and the SPP Foundation, we handed over a generator to a children's sanatorium in Ukraine.

In Veliko Berezno (Transcarpathian region) we actively support the Veliko Berezno general-education medical school, which serves as a boarding school and sanatorium and provides treatment for cardiovascular and respiratory diseases for children. We handed over a generator to the facility to serve as a backup power source during frequent power outages.

„Our sanatorium is currently caring for 150 young patients, but at the same time it is opening its arms to another 100 children who have been evacuated from dangerous areas. Many of these children are orphans, which makes our efforts even more meaningful,“ says director Ivanna Schulevka with regret, but also with hope in her voice.

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank the company CAP Foundation for the financial support that allowed us to purchase this generator.

The ceremony of handing over the generator was also attended by the representatives of the Government of the Slovak Republic, consisting of: Peter Švec (State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy), Jakub Lukáč (Director of the State Secretary's Office), Maria Pavlusík Némethová (Director of the Press Department), Katarína Klapáková (Head of Protocol of the Minister's Office), Eduard Buraš (Advisor to the Minister of Economy for Ukraine), as well as Eduard Macejka (Member of the SPP Board of Directors, Member of the Supervisory Board of the SPP Foundation), Viktor Mykyta (Governor of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration), Volodymyr Chubirko (Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council).

During the joint lunch we also raised the issue of the border crossing and the representatives of both sides made a commitment to address this issue as a priority on both the Ukrainian and the Slovak side. The humanitarian corridor is an essential condition for the movement of goods and, in particular, for Ukraine's reconstruction projects and the development of trade cooperation. However, these are issues for senior gentlemen, not for us. In the meantime, we will patiently devote ourselves to helping those who are victims of a situation that is not their fault.
It is an honour for us that we can continue to help and contribute to the well-being and health of the people affected by the war in Ukraine.

In addition to the generator, we handed over an automatic dishwasher, to simplify the work of kitchen staff and four pallets ceramic tableware, which was donated to us by Amazon Slovakia.
