Humanitarian aid for Lebanon

Life-Saving Multisectoral Assistance for Internally Displaced Persons and Vulnerable Returnees in Beqaa and Baalbek-Hermel

The project aims to strengthen food security, hygiene standards, and winter protection for communities in Lebanon that have lost access to basic necessities as a result of the escalating conflict. ADRA will provide targeted assistance to 200 of the most vulnerable households (900 people) among internally displaced persons and returnees in the Beqaa and Baalbek-Hermel governorates. Each family will receive comprehensive support: three months’ worth of food packages, two hygiene kits, and specialized winter gear, which will enable them to weather this critical period and mitigate the effects of the emergency.

The project directly addresses the loss of livelihoods, disrupted access to markets, and the sharp rise in commodity prices. The intervention is fully aligned with the strategic priorities of the humanitarian sectors (Food Security, WASH, Basic Assistance) and is closely coordinated with the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA). The project takes into account the specific needs of women and girls, guarantees safe distribution processes, and ensures inclusive monitoring with data disaggregated by sex and age, thereby strengthening accountability to the affected communities.
