Nest - for children, who have lost both hearing and sight

With your support, we are building a new pavilion in the special school in Červenice, for children with combined disabilities: deaf and blind at the same time, but also with physical, mental and other combinations of severe disabilities.

Construction of a new building that will serve as a pavilion for specialized classes and a multisensory laboratory and hydrotherapy, while also creating a connecting corridor and barrier-free connection between the school, dormitory, cafeteria, and gymnasium

With your support, we will create the conditions for educators and caregivers to make a real and positive difference for children. Together, we will also give these children a chance to learn and integrate into everyday life.

Current situation:

The school does not have hydrotherapy facilities, which are particularly needed for children with multiple disabilities and bedridden children. They temporarily use a bath tub in the bathroom, but it is not accessible for wheelchair users and is not suitable for rehabilitation.
The school has a small rehabilitation gym in the building next door on the first floor, but it is not connected by a corridor and this building does not have an elevator. Therefore, children who are lying down or in wheelchairs cannot access it or have to be carried up the stairs by their carers.

The objectives of our assistance:

To build a hydrotherapy pavilion (children's pool, whirlpool, hydrotherapy and massage room) for disabled children, which will significantly improve their mobility and health
To allow disabled children (recumbent and wheelchair users) wheelchair access to the rehabilitation gym, located on the second floor of the second building, so that they can receive physiotherapy
Build new classrooms and a multisensory lab for individual specialized education for children with multiple disabilities.
