Assistance to disadvantaged persons

In Slovakia, we are mainly dedicated to the distribution of material aid to helping organizations that provide assistance to children whose parents were unable or unwilling to take care of them, abused women and children, single-parent families, homeless people, socially vulnerable families and individuals, handicapped persons and the elderly.

These are mostly community centres, social service facilities, centres, charities, organisations and volunteers.

In total, we helped 46 facilities/organisations, with each helping an average of 50 disadvantaged people. Our assistance has thus reached 2,300 disadvantaged people.

What kind of material assistance is involved?

Clothing, footwear, home textiles, toys, sporting goods, kitchen utensils, decorative material, electronics, appliances, small furniture, etc.
80% of this material aid is free from damage and defects, these are new items
20% are damaged or non-functioning items that we are either scrapping, repairing or finding other uses for
toiletries, disinfection and protective equipment

We provide assistance in two ways

delivery of material aid, directly to the headquarters of the helping organisation
offer of material aid collection in rented warehouse premises of our ADRA organization in Bratislava on Lýcejna Street and in premises provided by ADRA DobroCentrum in Liptovský Hrádek
